We woke up at 6:30 AM this morning. The inviting sound of the highway got us going. We packed up, brushed our teeth, and got on the bus. Claudius, our stunning bus driver, was dressed like a champion. We ate a spectacular meal of cinnamon rolls and apples. We love the Bashful’s. They can stay cooks forever. We got to Disneyland around 8:00 AM. The park was inviting, the shuttle bus drivers were ready, and we quickly made it to the happiest place on earth.
We got our tickets and a heartfelt send off from Dallas, and we were off! The group excitedly walked to the Indiana Jones ride. Disneyland is so cool. The line was fairly short and the atmosphere was awesome. The ride surprised us because it was actually pretty good. It was a fantastic start to the morning. After the first ride, we were all off on our own. We enjoyed the nice California air, the amazing taxes, and the incredibly priced items. Also, the park workers were super nice (and that’s not sarcastic). We got delicious food recommendations and nice conversations. Some people ventured into downtown Disneyland and enjoyed the shops and restaurants. Grace got her leg stuck in line at a ride and had to get help and dawn soap to get it out. It’s okay, you can laugh, she is okay and telling everyone about the unforgettable story lol!

Ready for Indiana Jones! |
We all made it back by 8:30 PM and made it back to the camp site safely. We were exhausted so we quickly took showers and said our good nights after a long and hot day at Disneyland. Also, Happy Father’s Day! Especially to Charlie, who was told Happy Father’s Day by a worker thinking his group members were his kids.
We want to do a quick shout out to our incredible counselors. They put their hearts and souls into this trip, and they love us so much. Huge thanks to Dallas, Brooks, Olivia, Anna, and Grant!
