Day 1: LaGrange, GA
Hello everyone! Bashfuls here: Will Allen, Gabe Bonomo, Millie Brown, Thea Dowdle, Ayden Jones, Marissa Jones, Taylor Jung, Carlee Rayfield, Hunter Swain, and Annmarie Willis.
We all began our days by saying our "goodbyes" to our families before we loaded up in the bus and van. Some of us loaded on to our van, good ole MISS AMERICA, and quickly began getting to know one another. We played many games together like "2 truths and a lie" and "never have I ever" while also having a few music jam sessions. For lunch we had sandwiches with different kinds of chips and cookies (all great value of course)!
We quickly started speed dating on the bus and afterwards were able to play many different card games, listen to music, and some even took a nap. After a few hours of driving, we took our first Walmart trip in Georgia. The cooks were in charge of getting dinner while others walked around and bought snacks and most importantly... watches. We quickly learned that patience is key because the bathroom lines will be very long.
When we got to the campsite, many people took a swim in the lake while others did some journaling. The Happy group prepared our amazing dinner of burgers with watermelon, chips, and cookies. After dinner, we played some relay races including dizzy bat, 3 legged race, balloon race, spoon ball race, and ride the golf club race. The Bashfuls won tonight's competition... YAY!! We then had out first sing along and got prepared to travel across Alabama by singing "Sweet Home Alabama" and finished with the TWB song "Today"!
Now its time for showers and a few hours of sleep!
