Day 3- San Antonio

Day 3: San Antonio and the Alamo

We woke up bright and early at 4:45 in the air conditioning which made it feel like a 5 star resort. Then we hopped on the bus and most of us fell asleep immediately. Dallas gave us no mercy by blasting the good morning song. We had our first traveling meal of the day, featuring muffins and real pop-tarts. After the first 2 hours we stopped at a gas station where we loaded up on snacks. After getting back on the bus most of us made bracelets, played uno, and made a playlist (Dallas controlled don’t worry). The next time we stopped we filled the bus and guessed the price, which miller got the closest with a guess of $975 and the final price being $986. We ate lunch which was a amazing hawaiian rolls with turkey, ham, and cheese (the different kind of bread really makes a difference)

We got on the bus for our fifth and sixth hour and ended up at Buc-ee's. It was most people's first time at a grocery store sized gas station. They had anything and everything, we even got to try their famous brisket while they sang to us. We did not really know what they were saying in the song but it was repeated multiple times while we were there. Marissa was in heaven and we had to drag her out. We all ended up having t-shirts, food, and stickers.

The only early risers :)

We sleep any way we can!!!

Marissa and Tucker are in heaven at Buc-ees!
Even the counselors were amazed at Buc-ee's
The cutest matching tshirts!

We never wanted to leave!!!
When we got back on the bus we played telephone and completely failed. The people on the Miss America van sang some karaoke to some fan favorites including Party in the USA!  After the final leg of our 10 hours we arrived at the Alamo (SO MUCH DRIVING). We ran so we did not miss closing time but we were a little disappointed as it was basically a fancy wall. We headed to the river walk and we all got pranked. Olivia made us take off our shoes so we didn’t scuff the ground. One person asked Kylie why and she said “We have to pay our respects''. Most of us got ice cream and a few of us got lost. We got on the bus and ate some pizza wraps (feels like a kid eating a lunchable again) while we headed to our sleeping quarters.

Here, we realized, there was no River-Man.

At the camp we unloaded and the Grumpy's headed to the Wally World. Most of us went for the hammocks and some went for the ground. We then were able to have a little free time. A big group of girls gathered around for “girls talk” where we got to know each other even better. Some of us already feel like we’ve known each other for a while and it is only day 3. Once the Grumpy’s got back from Walmart, we decided that it is never too late for a sing along. Henry got his guitar out and led us in a few songs as we gathered around him in a big circle. We then started hitting the showers because we knew tomorrow was another early morning and long day.

Shoutout to our guitar star, Henry!
Needed flashlights but we weren't skipping a sing along!

This is the Bashful’s signing out, sending love as big as Texas!
