The Grumpies (Ainsley, Megan, Carson, Kieran, Kambree, Lucas, Jade, Jackson S.) bid you an afternoon update. After a late night snoring session from William Franklin Allen the Fourth, we woke up at the desirable time of 7:00 am, to the bloodcurdling fire alarm known as Dallas Godbold. After packing up the bus, we headed straight to Walmart for a three hour dance sesh in the parking lot! Then we prepared for the most exhilarating state in the United States of America: Kansas, known for its flat plains, flat plains, and most importantly flat plains. Meanwhile, the bus was treated to a jaw-dropping, heart-wrenching film experience, featuring Madagascar, Cloud 9, Luca, and Big Hero 6 (Dallas was moved to tears).
Our very own Elliot Perry-Gibson, a local hero and national treasure, stepped foot in his home state for the first time in weeks when we hit the Kansas rest stop. We loaded back on the bus to continue our karaoke extravaganza from our previous Utah drive. Many contestants participated in the competition, but all were outshined by the one and only Thea Dowdle, angelically singing “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars.

Time to blog for the Grumpys! |
We pulled into our second Wally World of the day and many people rushed to Subway for an afternoon snack. Elliot’s parents met us at the parking lot at Walmart, then joined us at the campsite, where they kindly provided us ice cream and popsicles. Currently, the cooks are preparing a breakfast for dinner of sausage, french toast, and orange juice. Pray for us as we sign off tonight, hoping not to be eaten alive by the aggressive Kansas wildlife consisting of mosquitoes and undiscovered bugs alike.
